Going into a tunnel.
The toll road.
Tamarack
New River Gorge
On the night of June 3rd after Jer got home from work we packed up and traveled to Beckley, West Virginia. Jer's sister was in WV for work and she was going to come visit us for a few days before she went back home to Utah. The trip was 3 1/2 hours one way and we got there quite late. On the trip we went through two tunnels that went through mountains and a toll road -- oh the things that I get excited about :) The next morning we got up, picked up Jer's sister and went to a local crafts mall called Tamarack and looked at things made in WV. We then went to New River Gorge and hiked down to a viewing area of an arch bridge that they claim is the longest in the Western Hemisphere. It was really neat and very pretty and green. It was so hot that day. We were having a heat wave that week and the temperatures were in the 90s and even sometimes going into the 100s. It was only the beginning of June and as you all know the humidity makes it feel so much hotter. I will not survive July and August!!
